Community Guidelines
Astray exists to reunite lost pets and honor those we've loved. These rules keep it a kind, safe space for everyone.
Be kind, especially to grieving families
Memorial pages are sacred space. Tributes should comfort, not critique. No 'should-have' or 'why didn't you' messages.
No harassment, hate, or threats
We don't allow attacks based on identity, slurs, doxxing, or harassment of pet owners, finders, or visitors. Reported comments are removed and offenders blocked.
No spam, ads, or promotion
Don't use Astray to sell products, promote services, or link out to unrelated sites. Honor the moment.
No impersonation
Don't post as someone else or pretend to be the pet's family. Owners are clearly tagged.
No graphic or distressing content
Photos of injury, abuse imagery, or distressing details don't belong here. Please contact local authorities if you have evidence of cruelty.
Owners can moderate their memorials
Memorial creators can hide tributes or close comments at any time. We honor their judgment about their own pet's page.
Reporting
See something that breaks these rules? Tap 'Report' on any tribute, pet report, or memorial. We review every report within 24 hours and take action — hiding content, removing it, or banning the account when warranted. Repeated violations result in permanent bans.
Blocking
You can block any user from your messages or their pet report. Blocked users can't send you new messages. Manage your blocked list anytime from your profile.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all your content from your profile at any time. Deletion cannot be undone.
